“We stayed at Balmoral Beauty for a holiday over Easter and we had a wonderful time. The house is beautifully furnished and clean and accommodated our family of six adults and three children perfectly. The water views are gorgeous, we had family Easter Sunday lunch on the verandah looking out over the water. Easy walk to the shops, cafes and restaurants. A steep, but short walk down a set of stairs to Balmoral beach. Julia was friendly and easy to deal with and responded quickly to all correspondence. A wonderful house for a family holiday.”

Review of Sydney Property & service

Whilst planning our family trip of a life time we knew we had to book our accommodation in Sydney over new year well in advance. Sadly with only a few months before we were due to travel the owners cancelled. We were really struggling to find anything suitable and were starting to panic a little. It was then that I came across Conlon & Co. Julia could not have been more helpful or patient. The house that she found for us could not have been more perfect and we are so grateful.

The service from Conlon & Co was always professional and even with a time difference of 11 hours was always prompt. The communication we received was excellent and very reassuring.

The house itself was a little oasis in the most amazing location. It is a beautiful heritage home with lots of space for a family (we were a party of 5). The kitchen is well equipped and the aircon in the middle of summer was a god send. The two bathrooms and a separate toilet was really useful. This property is on one level and many of the rooms open out onto a fabulous garden and pool. You really would not think you were in the middle of Sydney.

Erica (the owners) the house keeper could not have been more welcoming or friendly and full of local knowledge. We did not hire a car and did not need one, we could walk over the bridge to the main attractions and used the ferries and Uber for anything else. The area immediately surrounding the house was full of cafe's and restaurants and lovely little shops - everything that you could need.

We could not have been better placed for the New Years fireworks and thoroughly enjoyed walking out amongst all the chaos and fun and retreating back to the house to relax.

We would thoroughly recommend Conlon & Co and the property that we stayed in.

"This property really was the perfect venue for our event. The view from the front lawn, of the Harbour Bridge and city skyline, is magnificent. In my 30 years living in Sydney i don't recall ever seeing a more spectacular or panoramic view of the harbour, and the easterly aspect made the lawn and other entertaining areas very comfortable places to spend a summer afternoon and evening.
Apart from being very attractive and well appointed, we found the interior of the property to be the perfect balance between a capable hospitality venue, with a huge kitchen with ample bench space, lots of ground floor bathrooms, and the more intimate feel of a private home, with cosy living rooms, comfortable spaces and furniture. Our event had 75 guests, and we chose this property on the strength of the view and outdoor spaces alone, but the interior strengths meant this property would have been equally perfect for a a party of 25 or 150.

Street access and parking were important to us, and the two entrances, (one on a dead end) made for very easy access. We were also impressed that a property in this location, with such expansive outdoor spaces could provide such a level of privacy

The owners and agents are all friendly and accommodating. My wife and I are already looking for an excuse to hold another event here. Enjoy"!

“Fantastic House with a Beach House feel. We were two families and the space worked really well - lovely communal rooms where everyone could relax. The upstairs double bedroom has amazing views. A steep but short walk to beautiful Balmoral beach - try a morning dip with the keen locals at the ocean pool - then breakfast at Private Dining Room. Near to Mosman village and buses down to Mosman bay ferry stop. Would recommend without hesitation.” (Helen)

The location is fantastic, only 10 minutes walk from The Rocks or Barangaroo / Wynyard. The history of the accommodation is amazing. “This is THE BEST location for a Sydney vacation stay. Easily convenient to shops, pubs, restaurants, entertainment and all manner of other conveniences. The Rocks neighborhood is bursting with things to do especially on the weekends when the outdoor market is open. Over our two weekends we had the regular street market on the first and then a very upscale street food and chocolate festival on the second. There are plenty of taxis available pus the usual Uber presence. Very accessible to both Circular Quay and Manly harbor 51 Kent is a gem. We had an adult family group of 7 and were very comfortably accomodated. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, devices and crockery. Lovely outdoor sitting area is another plus. Host Julia never seems to sleep responding quickly and effectively to any and all inquiries. We would highly recommend a stay at 51 Kent!” (Patrick)

A five-ten minute walk to both Wynyard and circular quay train stations/ferry docks. Convenient supermarket at Wynyard station.
